Volume 88 Staff Orientation
The North Carolina Law Review is proud to welcome the incoming staff for Volume 88. We will be having Staff Orientation the week of August 23rd. The schedule is as follows: ![]()
Schedule of Events
Sunday, August 23
1 pm – 2 pm: Check-in and Lunch
2 pm – 5 pm: Introduction to the Law Review (explanation of the publication process, overview of the student writing process, and information about North Carolina and Symposium issues, student writing)
5 pm: Happy Hour (Location TBD)
Monday, August 24
8:30 – 9 am: Breakfast
9 am – 11:30 am: Citechecking 101 (introduction to citechecking, Bluebook tips, citechecking exercise)
Bring your Bluebooks!
11:30 am – 1 pm: Tour of Law Review office and lunch with mentors
1 pm – 5 pm: Library Orientation.
Each staff member signs up for a one-hour session at Orientation

Tuesday, August 25
8 am – 12 pm: Lexis Training
Each staff member signs up for a one-hour session at Orientation
Wednesday, August 26
8 am – 12 pm: Westlaw Training
Each staff member signs up for a one-hour session at Orientation
Friday, September 10
12 pm: Plagiarism Lecture by Prof. Deborah Gerhardt (Location TBD)
